About Me
My name is Steve and I started this new adventure after being made redundant in March 2020, I'm sure you remember what was going on around that time! If you don't, the whole of the UK and most of the world went into lockdown after the outbreak of Covid19.
This pandemic meant many people lost their jobs, I lost mine after working for the same luxury brand for nine years. However, it gave me the opportunity to start on this new adventure; FLOWERS, designed by Steve.
After working in luxury retail from the age of 27, I felt I knew enough about bespoke services to go forward with this new venture. My first role was for a very well known brand as their window dresser, I adored this field and I started to branch out into interior design and visual merchandising. I love this area of creativity and continued to do this for many years.
Moving with my partner into our "chocolate box" cottage in the Cotswolds gave us the opportunity to design the interior and garden of our own home. I live in lovely part of the world with rolling hills and a beautiful cottage garden. This is where I get most of my greenery from which means that every design I do has a little bit of my own garden in it. For me this is so special.
As I said before, working for some of the worlds most well-known luxury brands as a Senior Manager including, Burberry and YSL, I knew I had an eye for fashion, colour and trends. This really helps me ensure I continually keep up to date with the current fashions and trends in the world of flowers but never forgetting our history and heritage as it is great to incorporate our past into special occasions and memories. Memories are important and stay with us forever.
For your wedding day my aim is to spend time with you, the bride, getting to know you and to truly understand your dreams and visions. I love this time, as we get to know each other over a coffee or a nice glass of champagne. Together we can design the perfect display for you on your perfect day. Nothing will thrill me more than to see the smiling faces of you and your guests.
Flowers are so important as they can tell us what season we are in and what colours we love. They are a gift to a loved one or to let someone know we are thinking of them. Floral tributes are important for memories, ever lasting memories for people we will never forget. In these times I will be there for you to design an everlasting tribute for that special person. Times like this are hard but don’t worry we can choose the perfect tribute, colours and scent for that perfect person.
